Cycling shop founded by Harry Hall (1929-2007) in Manchester between 1955-1957 (depending on source). Hall was a well respected mechanic and in the 1960s through his race contacts in Europe he sourced Continental cycling gear including wool clothing from Moa, Santini, De Marchi and Beelen Sport, and shoes by Giochotti. The shop provided race support to cycling events across Britain from the late 1960s to the 1980s, also sponsoring professional British riders.

Dark blue long-sleeved cycling jersey with red and white stripes around the ribbed collar and cuffs. Made from a knitted blend of wool and Chlorofibre, the jersey features a short zip opening at the centre front and gathered back waist with an external open pocket below. The left chest is machine embroidered with a red 'B' inside a white triangle, positioned above the letters 'H H'. On the back, "HARRY HILL CYCLES" is embroidered in large white letters above a red 'B' within a white triangle. A label and care label are attached at the back of the neck.

      EMBROIDERED CYCLING JERSEY
      Harry Hall Cycles
      1970s
      In the 1950s, Harry Hall opened his bicycle shop in Manchester and was dubbed the sport’s most renowned spannerman or mechanic. By the 1960s, he was outfitting professional British cyclists with clothing from mostly Italian sportswear companies such as Moa, Santini, De Marchi, and Beelen Sport. This long sleeve cycling jersey has a red B machine embroidered
      inside a white triangle and above the letters H H for Harry Hall. On the back, HARRY HALL CYCLES is machine embroidered in large chainstitch white letters above a red B inside a white triangle. The neck and sleeves are finished with a knitted navy rib with a red and white stripe. There are
      three rear pockets for storage, which can be used to hold food if racing for an extended period.
