Ott & Heinemann was formed in 1936 by Hans Ott and Erich Heinemann to take over the Jewish owned department stores Carsch & Co in Frankfurt. The Carsch family were forced to sell through the process of 'Aryanization' established by the Nazi state. The company was taken over by H. Dyckhoff KG in the early 1970s and when Dyckhoff went bankrupt in 1997, Ott & Heinemann was dissolved.

说明
This coat was bought in 1953 in Frankfurt, Germany. After serving in the war, the owner lived and worked in a small village outside of Frankfurt. He worked as a farmer and also in his family's restaurant. He was known in the village as ‘der schöne Heinrich’ - ’the beautiful Heinrich’ - because of his good looks and the old Porsche car he drove. When he came back from Frankfurt after buying the coat his wife and family were angry with him for spending such a lot of money on a piece of clothing.
