            Bespoke wool tailored flared trousers (part of a two piece suit). Front pockets run along waistband seam, with hand finished edge and a bar tack at each end. The fly front is finished with a hand stitch, and centre front closes with a hook and bar. Back of trouser has a single dart and no pockets. Waistband has seven belt loops. Trouser hem is finished with a length of tape, turned up with a herringbone stitch. With original hanger 2019.63.16. Designed and made in England. Tommy Nutter

            Bespoke tailored wool jacket (part of a two piece suit) with large single breasted lapels. The lapels are wide and curve in towards the button closure. The collar has a notched point with a single button hole on the left side.

            The centre front closes with a single button with hand stitched button hole. The jacket overall shape is slim, narrow at the shoulders and fitted on the waist. The back of the jacket has a yoke seam and a seam at the waist, both finished with a hand pick stitch. The section between is formed of three vertical pleats, a variation of an American sport jacket. Below the waist seam, the back seam becomes a double vent, secured at the top with a row of hand stitching.

            The front body of the jacket has a patch pocket with rounded corners and a box pleat. The edges of the pocket are all hand pick stitched. The sleeve has a single functioning button. All edges are secured with hand stitching. With original hanger 2019.63.16. Designed and made in England.

            Long sleeve khaki General Post Office workwear jacket with notch lapel. The button stand consists of three black pin head shank buttons with metal plate on the underside of the button stand and key ring to interchange the button components. The front body has two straight pocket flaps top stitched with matching khaki thread. there two further rows of top stitching across the waist on the front body, but this does not follow through into the back of the garment. the lapel is also finished with a 5 mm top stitch which continues down to the hem of the jacket. The collar is finished with red cord, which is also used on the top sleeve of the jacket and top stitched in red. the under sleeve is secured used a felled seam and hemmed with a 15 mm unturned hem. the jacket is unlined, exposing the inner construction. but there is a jetted pocket stitched into the right hand facing side of the jacket lapel. The cross back of the jacket is lined and finished with a baby overlocking stitch. The internal pocketing is made from the same material as the outer body of the jacket. There are three machine stitched eyelets under each arm hole and two eyelets on the front left chest. General Post Office

The tweed is woven in a houndstooth check pattern in dark brown and black on a fawn and white ground with a red overcheck. Retailed by American department store chain Bonwit Teller.

            Brown tweed Norfolk style jacket with four patch pockets. The jacket closes with four central buttons and features curved lapels and a flat, curved collar. The pockets are all curved patch pockets with pointed flaps that are secured with brown buttons. The back features a single back vent and a sewn on decorative belt that finishes at the side seams. It has two internal breast pockets and is fully lined in brown nylon.

There are two vertical angled wide welted pockets at the hips which can be accessed from the outside and inside.             Made to measure flat front high waisted trouser in herringbone tweed with leather strips sewn onto each trouser cuff for protection against excessive wear. The front pockets have a step details and there are two back pockets. There is a zip closure and an internal button tab at the waistband. It has eight belt loops.
