            Dark blue jersey or jumper made of knitted rough wool. It has a round neck and deep ribbed cuffs. The bottom edge has been finished by turning up a deep hem and machine stitching. It has woven blue cotton patches stitched to the underside of each shoulder. The white makers label is embroidered with the company name and the date, 1941, it also has 'HASLAM' handwritten on it in black ink. Size 2 I. H. & Co.

            Cream cotton knitted cotton jersey full length underwear (bottom half of the body). They have a button fly which fastens with three white plastic buttons (visible) above an opening. The waist is lined in white woven cotton and has lengths of white cotton tape sewn around the outside. They have a diamond shaped insert at the crotch and wide rib knit bands around the ankles. Unworn new old stock. Label in the centre back inside waist with the Utility CC41 mark. St Margaret

            Pair of white cotton boxer shorts with a wide double layered waist band which fastens centre front with three white plastic buttons. On each side of the waistband are white cotton tape ties which have been sewn in the centre - they loop through two eyelet holes to tighten the waist. The fly below the buttons is open. The back of the shorts are made of three panels, the seams are run and fell with double stitching. Stamped inside the back waist is '32' in black ink. Possibly military deadstock. Designer unknown

            Cream wool knit underwear with cream calico cotton yoke. The underwear fastens centre front with three cream plastic buttons and has two attached cotton straps on each side of the waist for adjustment. They are fitted and come down to mid thigh with a deep rib knit band around the hem and a gusset at the crotch. There are scratch marks on the buttons and some stains.
