            Cream flannel high-waisted double pleated tennis shorts with slant pockets and adjustable straps at the waistband. The fly has a button closure made up of six cream buttons and an extended tab that is secured to the waistband with a silver hook and bar. There are two darts on either side of the back leading to a single back pocket on the right side with curved flap and single button closure. The waistband has five narrow belt loops and six internal buttons sewn in probably to allow a top or shirt to be secured. The waistband is lined with cream cotton and the pocket bags are made of a cream cotton drill but the shorts are unlined. All internal seams are raw and crimped.

            Cambridge Sidney Sussex College Boating Jacket

            Cream boating jacket with blue and red stripes. The stripes are in sets of three, one red either side of a wide blue. The stripes are spaced across the fabric, around 15 cm apart.

            The jacket has a pocket on each side, created with facings. The top facing becomes the pocket bag on the inside, and is top stitched to the main body creating the visual of a patch pocket, with the patch stitched on the inside of the jacket. There is a patch pocket on the front left chest with the Sidney Sussex College coat of arms. The centre front and the sleeve have two buttons each, engraved on the back with C&J Weldon London.

            The jacket is unlined, the back seam finished with extra seam allowance which folds back on itself and is hand stitched and pressed, resembling a lapped seam. The sleeve holes are bound and the sleeve seams are raw.

            Cream cap with purple and pink striped tape edge. The side of the cap extends down to cover the ear, with a bound edge hole to the ear on the flap. The ends of the flap have a length of cotton tape which tie under the chin to secure the cap. The front panel has an embroidered Sidney house pheon azure (broad arrow) in purple thread.             Sidney Sussex house coat of arms, embroidered on black wool base. The top of the badge has a textured crown created with Dabka embroidery. This process of embroidery uses tightly coiled miniature springs, cut to size and passed over a needle and thread to create three dimensional embroidery designs.             White cotton underwear shorts. They have a curved yoke and waistband made of a double layer of the main fabric. There is a centre front opening which fastens at the top with three cotton covered washing buttons and is open below.             White lightweight woven cotton 'athletic union suit' underwear. It is a one-piece garment, sleeveless with a V-neck and scoop back, opens down the centre front and fastens with five white buttons. There is a flap opening at the back which fastens with one white button. Inserted at the back waist is cream cotton knitted jersey rib with two wide belt loops, the straps of the vest part are made of white cotton knitted jersey ribbing. Between the top and second button has been printed with 'PAT' and numbers (indecipherable). Makers label in the back of the neck. B.V.D.

            Long striped cotton jersey rugby top with white cotton woven collar and wide ribbed cuffs. The hoop stripes are horizontal wide dark blue or purple with narrow yellow gold stripes. The turn down collar is doubled cotton twill an the neck opening is reinforced with a wide light grey twill cotton tape. It fastens with three white cotton washing buttons.             Black coated waterproof cycling trousers. The centre front ties closed with a length of cotton tape, and the fly closes with a single button through to the outside in the centre.
